With an estimated 3.25 billion worldwide cellphone subscribers, according to Phonecasting.com, there’s a pretty good chance that phone podcasts, or "phonecasts," are bound to gain in popularity. This mobile form of blogging makes it possible for anyone to connect to media servers within their wireless network and publish content to wireless devices.

Market research firm Markitecture reported today the results of a recent survey to judge interest in the iPhone among existing cell phone users. While the iPhone ranked surprisingly high in consumer awareness, most respondents said there was little, if any chance, that they’d actually buy one.
